We are currently in the process of updating our official school logo to make it more clean, modern and reflective of the amazing programs we have here at the school.
The new design was created by a former Stephen Leacock CI student.
Rationale:
- Clean and thick lines stand as a powerful symbol of strength and progress
- The use of this typeface (Tango Sans) reflects a boldness, honesty and forward-thinking approach to our school’s innovative goal.
- The clean, dynamic and angular lines around the school’s acronym can be repurposed in various ways for our school’s identity, and compliment the chosen typeface.
- The square shape helps elicit stability and balance. Students are able to get a diverse curriculum here that’s professional and efficient enough to prepare them for the real world.
- Vertical lines (also present in the acronym) promote goals and progress, as a staff we are committed to keeping up with our students needs.
- The use of the “SLCI” acronym is practical and help with our rebranding efforts and we make progress from just “Leacock”.
- Overall aesthetic follows that of a monogram logo, with the school’s name spelled out on alternate versions to create a more encompassed combination mark. The school motto “It’s up to you” or “Tuum Est” can be added in variations as well.
